It was with great excitement that my family and I went down to watch the Kingston Spring Half marathon on a sunny Easter Sunday. I took the opportunity to hand out my new flyers and talk to the finishers - most of whom were in great need of Pilates!
I had really been inspired on the lead up to the half marathon, having completed many myself in recent years. I'd hoped that my weekly posts on @pilateskingston on facebook and on my Instagram feed had inspired some dedicated time to stretches and strengthening through Pilates.
Pilates is indeed a must for runners - it offers a platform for improving performance, reducing risk of injury and enhancing fitness levels. Starting with focussed mat work and leading up to advanced work in standing, allows runners to benefit from Pilates at all levels.
For me, combining my two favourite things, Pilates & running, it's a simple recipe for success!
