PILATES FOR REHABILITATION

Rehabilitation by definition is ‘treatment designed to facilitate the process of recovery form injury, illness or disease to as normal a condition as possible’. Pilates provides rehabilitation.

Pilates is designed to incorporate stretches, strengthening of the core trunk muscles and progress to total body strengthening and control. The exercises also work on balance, co-ordination, neural gliding and motor processing. It has benefits for so many health conditions. Be it sports injuries, work accidents, falls or car accidents, Pilates can play an important role in getting you not just back to where you were but stronger and fitter as well.
