PILATES FOR ANTE AND POST-NATAL

Pilates during pregnancy is an effective way of coping with the aches and strains of carrying your baby. Having pursued Pilates throughout her two pregnancies, Monica, will tailor the exercises to help you start, or continue, to build on your body strength and flexibility throughout your trimesters. The importance of having a strong pelvic floor to assist with the birth process is integrated into pilates from the start.

 

The role of Pilates after the birth is key to help you regain core strength and stability. The flexibility of Monica coming to your home, at a time that suits you, means you can work around your baby’s schedule and still find time to manage your health needs. Monica will work with you to get you back to feeling strong, regaining your posture and able to take on all the challenges and pleasure having a baby brings.

As a mother of two, Monica has personal experience of pilates both during and after pregnancy. She agrees that the combination of controlled breathing and core strengthening assisted her during the births and beyond. She believes that making the time before your baby arrives to look after your own body is key to a good recovery after the birth.
