I have been working in the NHS as a physiotherapist for 19 years. I have been specialising in Paediatrics for over a decade. Four years ago I left Great Ormond Street Hospital, where I’d worked for 12 years, and moved into the Community setting in Richmond. With this change came a change in lifestyle that I had been craving. No more dashing to the train to London, no more running out of meetings to get back to collect the kids – I became ‘time rich’. My Community based job means I cycle to work, I work with families in their homes and also run a busy clinic in Ham.

 

This extra breathing space has allowed me to follow my dreams and train as a Pilates instructor with APPI. My background in physiotherapy has enriched my learning journey and my patients have benefitted too. My passion for Pilates is continuing to grow daily as I teach children and adults about their posture, help them develop a strong core and see the impact of this in their lives. I believe age is just a number and Pilates can be adapted to all ages and stages of life.

This is why I have developed mindbodysoulpilates.com. My business philosophy is based on Joseph Pilates quote “Pilates is the complete coordination of mind, body & spirit”.
